It can take up to 10 months from sowing time to harvest time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each clove will grow into a full garlic with up to 20 cloves. If you sow garlic in the Fall, the garlic root system will begin to grow before Winter arrives. However, it is very likely that the green above-ground part of the garlic will not yet appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Remove any weeds that will appear around the garlic. Garlic does not do well with competition from weeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Garlic is ready to harvest when the leaves turn brown and dry. Stop watering them a few weeks before harvest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Once you have taken the garlic out of the soil, you can braid the garlic into braids. Hang the braids in a place away from moisture to dry out. The temperature in the storage area should be about 10 degrees Celsius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As garlic grows in soil, the soil needs to be soft.
