The magic <a href=\"\/en\/plants\/artichokes-how-grow\/\">artichokes<\/a> in September!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surely you know that until 200-400 years ago, artichokes were only the privilege of kings in Europe. They were grown in the royal gardens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>True to their appointment, at the beginning of September, they began to sprout leaves again. The hitherto dry plants came to life again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The summer dormancy period is over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As every September, the artichokes did not betray me this year. For over 20 years they have been there and producing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>They have awakened, and new plants are starting to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For my part, I&#8217;ll be tending to them with good digging and incorporating manure and compost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Projected harvest, May 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Artichokes are one of the <a href=\"\/en\/in-garden\/what-vegetables-plant-autumn-winter\/\" class=\"ek-link\">plants we plant during Fall<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aha!!
