Birds were tasting them before I did. I found the tomatoes blushing, pecked by birds. So I made an original scarecrow in the shape of a bird.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-516 size-full\" title=\"\u03c3\u03ba\u03b9\u03ac\u03c7\u03c4\u03c1\u03bf \u03c3\u03b5 \u03c3\u03c7\u03ae\u03bc\u03b1 \u03c0\u03bf\u03c5\u03bb\u03b9\u03bf\u03cd\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro.jpg\" alt=\"the bird-shaped scarecrow\" width=\"450\" height=\"338\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To deal with the problem, I came up with the following solution:<br \/>\n<strong>I build a scarecrow in the shape of a large black bird<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The scarecrow was made from old pieces of wood cut with a saw.<\/p>\n<p>It consists of 4 pieces:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Body<\/li>\n<li>Right Wing<\/li>\n<li>Left Wing<\/li>\n<li>Tail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The width of its wings is about 1 meter. It should look big and menacing!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-517 size-full\" title=\"\u03c3\u03ba\u03b9\u03ac\u03c7\u03c4\u03c1\u03bf \u03c3\u03b5 \u03c3\u03c7\u03ae\u03bc\u03b1 \u03c0\u03bf\u03c5\u03bb\u03b9\u03bf\u03cd \u03c0\u03c1\u03bf\u03c3\u03c4\u03b5\u03cd\u03b5\u03b9 \u03c4\u03b1 \u03ba\u03b7\u03c0\u03b5\u03c5\u03c4\u03b9\u03ba\u03ac\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro-02.jpg\" alt=\"a bird-shaped scarecrow protects the vegetables\" width=\"450\" height=\"310\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro-02.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.kalliergo.gr\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/07\/02072011-pouli-skiaxtro-02-300x207.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 450px) 100vw, 450px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After construction and assembly, it was painted black.<\/p>\n<p>The color of the beak was given with a piece of yellow paper glued around the &#8220;beak&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The structure was hung in the middle of the garden, using a simple gamma-shaped construction. The bird was hung from its base with the help of a thin wire so that it could swing with the help of wind and look alive.<\/p>\n<p>The coming days will test the effectiveness of this bird-shaped scarecrow.
